Jake Mensah - Youth Services Manager

Jake rejoined Trinity in 2025 as Youth Services Manager, returning to the organisation where his career began over a decade ago as a youth worker on a Future Jobs Fund placement.

Born and raised in Bristol, Jake is an experienced leader with over 20 years in youth work. Jake's expertise is shaping opportunities for young people across a wide range of educational settings and alternative learning provisions. Jake has always been rooted in the belief that creating opportunities in education and culture must be accessible, relevant, and empowering. Working both within organisations and as a freelance practitioner, Jake is always striving to deliver our projects with purpose, creativity, and meaningful impact for young people.

Jake oversees our 11-25-year-old offer as the youth programme manager, focusing on the creative arts and further opportunities for young people, ensuring they feel empowered to explore their interests and potential, continually working to encourage creative arts as a powerful tool for expression, confidence, and personal growth. Having a Bristol background shapes Jake's understanding of local communities, and he remains committed to creating programmes that reflect their diversity, resilience, and culture.

Collaboration sits at the heart of everything Trinity does, collaborating with partners, organisations, and fellow practitioners to foster shared practice and collective learning, ensuring we deliver the highest quality projects and programmes. Through ongoing research, professional development, and active engagement in the sector, Jake has adapted approaches to meet the needs of young people.

Whether designing workshops, networking within the Bristol community or supporting alternative pathways in education, or mentoring emerging talent, as the youth programme manager, Jake's goal remains the same: to create accessible, impactful, and culturally relevant opportunities, staying passionate about building environments where young people can thrive, feel safe, learn, and imagine new possibilities for their futures.
