Freedom 25: Poetic Placards & Billboards
Come and see the creative artwork produced Trinity's involvement in Our Freedom: Then & Now, a national project exploring the notion of freedom with its local communities. Trinity is one of 60 arts centres and libraries from across Great Britain who have participated in this project.
Bristol city poet Sukina Noor, Trinity's Heritage Curator Dr Edson Burton. visual artist Sonja Burniston and photographer Leticia Valverdes worked alongside local residents, refugee community groups, and Caribbean Elders, to captured reflections from the past and thoughts on freedom today.
The end result is a creative largescale artwork, open to the whole city to view 24/7 from Old Market’s Community Garden billboards on Clarence Road BS2, and an indoor print and poetry exhibition at Trinity's Graffiti Room
