Health + Design Community Event
As part of a theoretical UWE Masters of Architecture project, UWE Architecture students are holding a series of interactive workshops that explore the notion of what the residents and community groups in and around Old Market value about healthy design for their urban
context.
The purpose of the event is to engage with the local community in order to provide the project group with an increased understanding of both the current environment exhibited in Old Market and what can be done to improve the physical and mental health of those who reside within it.
The activities include an interactive site model, a series of adaptable photo collages for users to create and a number of questions relating to health, community and security for the public to offer their answers and opinions.
Once the information and viewpoints have been collated and analysed, they shall be utilised in order to provide a foundation upon which the group’s future proposals can be potentially based upon in order to improve the area.
