M.C. Beth - an original story created by young actors inspired by a Shakespeare classic

Tank Theatre Company presents 'M.C.Beth' an inspiring original take on Shakespeare's classic story.

Director and writer Dave Lovatt set up the company thanks to funding from the Ernest Cook Trust to help young teach actors between 16-26 become professionals, in honour of Leroy 'Tank' Reid.

They have been studying the characters from Shakespeare’s MacBeth to create a modern-day play. Giving the students a practical grounding in the art of acting, They have been using relationship exercises perfected at The Actors Studio, Uta Hagen Techniques, Jenny Lipman Techniques, Laban and improvisation techniques to create the play. Using these techniques allows actors who may not be the best readers to come up with their own lines and adds a enormous amount of truth to the dialogue and performances.
They've worked together, with support from writer Edson Burton to put a great new-age spin on the classic story. A must see 3-night performance from Bristol's newest up-and-coming group, Tank Theatre Company.

Ticket info: £6 adv / £4 conc - Available in advance from Bristol Ticket Shop, at the Trinity Centre and on the door on the night.
