Project history
Trinity aims to engage local people in creative activities, designed to celebrate diversity and strengthen community cohesion
Trinity works with different partner groups to deliver community arts activities to help bring people together and celebrate the diversity of inner-city Bristol.
We also support groups to deliver their own activities through the Trinity Community Initiative - our free hall-space scheme. Each year we provide over 1,000 hours of free hall space so that community and grass-roots groups can deliver their own activities and events.
We also deliver our own projects thanks to funding from local grant supporters including The Quartet Community Foundation and the Neighbourhood Partnership.
Trinity works with other community buildings within the city to try to support and promote wider development and regeneration through investment in community assets. Read the Community Asset Transfer Report 2013 for more information.
Past projects
The Bridges Project (2012-13) - a series of arts workshops bringing people together and bridging community divides through art.
Pay it Forward (2012) - community participatory project in partnership with The Love of It and Let's Do Nice Things.
Our Space, Your Space (2011) - a graffiti mural project funded by Bristol Neighbourhood Partnerships Well-being Grant. We created an 'Art Wall' in the grounds of The Trinity Centre and invited young people and their families from Easton, Ashley and Lawrence Hill to create a mural together.
Project Respect (2008-2010) - bringing older and young people together to produce a series of artworks exploring themes around different generations and cultures, funded by the Quartet Community Foundation. We created a mural in the Trinity Gardens.
We also work with other organisations as part of a network seeking to support the prosperity of Bristol's community buildings. Read our Community Asset Transfer Report below, for more information.
