Roots 'n' Reminiscence

With Jamaica's stunning First Lady of jazz, Myrna Hague

To open our Jamaican Independence Day celebrations at Trinity Arts Centre we've invited the island's stunning First Lady of jazz, Myrna Hague and the award-winning Jazz Jamaica bandleader Gary Crosby to present a special matinée of their hugely enjoyable Roots 'n' Reminiscence performance workshop.

Accompanied by a fantastic band, Myrna and Gary will transport you on a musical journey down memory lane, performing old favourites such as Linstead Market, Yellow Bird, Don't Stay Away, and My Boy Lollipop to inspire you to recall and share your reminiscences of life 'back home'. Come along, join in, and if you feel to dance, get up and shake a leg!

Everyone welcome, especially Elders accompanied by a young person!

The workshop will begin at 2.30pm and finish at 3.45pm with time at the end for tea and refreshments.
