The focus will be on developing and expanding movement and dance skills,  exploring different aspects of movement, and creating a dance  performance based on members' ideas and experiences.</p>
<p><strong>One weekly session every Friday, </strong><span style="font-weight: bold; ">12pm - 2pm - Main Hall</span></p>

<p><strong>About Julia <br /></strong>Julia has many years experience of creating, directing and teaching  dance in professional, community and academic contexts. She is Programme  Leader for the Dance Foundation Degree,City of Bristol College, and has  Artistic Director roles for Kinesis Youth Dance Company, and Julia  Thorneycroft Young Dancers Company. Her performance company, Julia  Thorneycroft Dance, creates accessible dance theatre that explores  current social themes and human nature, engaging the core human emotions  of its audience. She is committed to reaching out beyond traditional  theatre space into outdoor festivals and rural touring.</p>

They hold regular weekly sessions and occasional workshops throughout the year. Even if you've never drummed or dance before, come and give it a try.</p>
<p><strong>Samba Drumming</strong><br />If you are interested in joining the drumming band please email <a class="mail-link" href="mailto: newmembers@bristolsamba.co.uk">here</a>. Samba Drumming is every Monday from 6pm - 10pm.</p>
<p><strong>Samba Dancing:</strong><br />The dance classes are aimed towards performance, but you don't have to be a performer to take part - you can join us for the fun and the exercise. Learn samba reggae, ijexa (afoxe) and samba carnival style.</p>

<p>Ilu Axe has three groups or learning and performance levels, Beginner,  Intermediate and Stage Group, with people moving from one level to the  next as and when the pieces taught in the particular level (both the  music and the choreography) reach the required standard.</p>
<p>Drums and sticks etc all provided. With our incredible,  loveable teachers you’ll straight away begin learning the rhythms and  the choreography and all the drum and stick technique stuff.</p>

<p>Hype's mission is to use dance and movement to help young people excel. The award winning urban dance company for 5yrs- young adult, runs weekly all year round (apart from the six-week summer) holiday and runs an open door policy so new dancers can join any time.</p>

<p>Mondays from 11am-1pm (School term time only)</p>
<p>Aid Box Community supports refugee and asylum seekers in Bristol. They create a safe space for refugee communities to socialise and exchange knowledge, skills, culture and language, whilst drinking lots of tea and laughing.</p>
<p>Every week we have a different activity for our wonderful women to do whilst we chat about this and that, and keep each other company! We have had mindfulness and art sessions, massage days, sewing activities, multi-cultural lunch clubs, and much more.</p>
<p>Tea, coffee, and light snacks are provided.</p>
<p><strong>How to get involved</strong></p>

<p>Tasks may include weeding, planting, watering, creating wildlife habitats and basic orchard maintenance.</p>
<p>Sessions are on Wednesdays, Fortnightly, 10am - 2pm</p>
<p>You'll be working alongside a small team of friendly volunteers.</p>
<p>Sessions are for everyone 18+ years old. Lunch and reasonable travel expenses may be claimed back once you are a regular Trinity Volunteer.</p>

<p>These workshops offer young people a chance gain knowledge and skills from our expert tutors in Trinity’s fully-equipped rehearsal room and production studios, and the large break out space with lyric writing.</p>
<p>The sessions are be student-led, meaning that young people will be able to shape each session, whether that be learning to play instruments, music production, performing live, or anything in-between.</p>
<p>Trinity’s in-house music tutors Pete and Amos will be on hand to offer support and guidance to students during the sessions.</p>
<p>Students will learn together as a group, offering a chance to work collaboratively and meet other young people.</p>

<p>This is a safe, welcoming and supportive space where young girls can make new friends, build confidence, discuss issues you want to learn about, and take part in fun activities and speak openly in a positive environment. You will have an input with who you would like to come to sessions also.</p>
