Afrika Eye: More Than A Number Symposium

An open evening to discuss how the photography exhibition affects you, your relationship with photography and what taking photographs mean to you.

Following on from Afrika Eye's week-long exhibition More Than A Number (7-15 November), an incredibly rich body of work from 12 photographers from across Africa, we invite you to join in the conversation with curator Cynthia Sitei, Professor of Photography Shawn Sobers, Ghanaian photographer Nana Kofi Acquah and photography students Amber Mylius- King and Lenacha Lema.

An open evening to discuss how the work affects you, your relationship with photography and what taking photographs mean to you. Afrika Eye will be looking at rights of representation, questions of identity, and how images can take us to new and unknown spaces, opening up other worlds.
