Taking Flight | Creative Showcase - Postponed

Free creative showcase, supporting people overcoming alcohol and other drugs

Please note due to the current Covid -19 outbreak this event has been postponed. The organisers of the event hope to re-arrange for a future date.


The health and safety of the people using our Centre is our top priority you can find out what we are doing to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak here.


Creative Communities is a free, open-access programme for adults affected by alcohol and other drugs, providing supportive spaces to connect and nurture recovery through creativity.

Inspired by the poem ‘The Journey’ by Mary Oliver, the showcase is a series of performances exploring the themes of transformation, new beginnings and how playfulness can help us through times of flux.

Featuring original compositions by Bristol Recovery Orchestra, music by Rising Voices choir, artwork by Create Space and poetry, stories and movement by Stepladder drama group and The 50+ Crowd.
