Los Justos

An online global theatre series inspired by Albert Camus' Les Justes

Los Justos is a series of live online theatre performances created by artists from 9 countries and streamed simultaneously via theatres in Spain, Denmark, Chile and UK.

Taking its name from Les Justes (The Just Assassins) by Albert Camus, but set in a post Covid-19 reality of lockdowns, violent protests, bomb explosions, unstable internet and governments, 9 performers from Lebanon, Chile, Japan, Hong Kong, Greece, Spain, Denmark, England and The United States gather online to participate in a live performance with audiences simultaneously watching around the world.

Los Justos asks you, the audience, to consider what you are willing to do in the pursuit of justice and invites you to join the conversation as it unfolds.

Through Spanish, Danish, Arabic, English, Japanese, French and Cantonese languages, Los Justos is a mix-media, surprisingly surreal theatre experience that flirts with virtuality, multilingualism, interconnection and geography. A creative experiment exploring performance-making in the pandemic to keep live and international performance alive.
