Yaz Brien: #Resist Researcher

Yaz Brien, Reclaiming the Environment Researcher

Meet Yaz Brien, Reclaiming the Environment Researcher for the Art of Resistance project.

Yaz has been involved grassroots organising and social movements for over two decades - bringing a queer, anti-racist and feminist perspective to all that they do.

Alongside participation in UK Climate Camps and groups such as Rising Tide, Yaz attended the World People's Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth in Bolivia in 2009 to deliver workshops on issues relating to climate change and migration.

A regular broadcaster on Bristol's Ujima Radio, they see the role of arts, culture and music as crucial in the work of social change.
