A Banner For Bristol

Help create a banner that captures moments of Bristol's protest heritage

Banners have, literally, been at the forefront of Trade Union protest and a way in which women in particular have contributed to Trade Union activism. Imagine from Reclaim the Night, to Black Lives Matter, Bristol is a city of protest. What if you could capture all those aspects of protest in one image, better still one banner? With guidance from textile artist Ruth Ramsay, research and create a textile banner that captures moments of Bristol's protest heritage. The banner will be displayed as part of the Art of Resistance exhibition.

This course of workshops is open for any experience level and no previous experience is required to take part.

Course Dates:

15th July
