]]>It is a free session, a friendly and confidential space to support your wellbeing. If you are a woman of colour, we invite you to sign up or drop in to take a step towards yourself care. It provides an opportunity to meet others over a hot drink and express your thoughts, struggles, joys, being in a collective and benefit from this space. You would often find that others may have had similar experiences and talking about it reduces the sense of isolation. There is no compulsion to share either. You may join and be an active listener as well.
The group will run for 2 hours every time with a break in between. For now, the group will be once every month through March, April and May only:
Wed 13th Mar, 10:30am - 12:30pm
Wed 10th Apr, 10:30am - 12:30pm
Wed 8th May, 10:30am - 12:30pm
The group is facilitated by women of colour, and we invite you to join to freely share your concerns being a part of this community, just to share how you have been or even to be a listener and to have a sense of belonging. If you have any questions please email Sayam

Throughout her career, she has explored many different styles and approaches, never staying too long in any one spot, while showing mastery of each one she attempted. After these arty diversions, Weaver returned in 2021 with Flock, an album that had familiar elements, but also introduced stomping glam-rock, spaced-out funk, and soft R&B sounds to the mix.

HSDY nights are recommended by everyone from Time Out and The Guardian to Stylist and BBC Radio 4 and have been described as “Abba collides with Saturday Night Fever in a glorious mash-up”. Partygoers say the events make them feel so good they should be on the NHS! Dapper DJ Lord Anthony (Bestival, We Out Here) will be on the decks playing all your favourite soul, funk and disco tunes (with a bit of pop too) along with Bristol-based DJ Steph, who brightened our lives in lockdown with her brilliant virtual Disco Bingo nights. HSDY dancer, Lady Boo, will be leading flash mob-style routines to everything from Car Wash (complete with shiny rags) and I Wanna Dance with Somebody to the 1979 Gonzales hit, Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet, after which the hugely popular pop-up club takes its name.
If you fancy dressing up (it’s not obligatory to get in, but lots do) there are prizes to be won in the best outfit/dance off competition, and there’s free sweets and ice pops too. In the worlds of Shalamar, it’s going to be ‘a night to remember’.
10% profits from HSDY go to Cancer Research UK.
