The Malcolm X Elders Theatre Company brings these powerful stories back to life, weaving together memories and rich oral traditions. This isn't just history – it's family stories and lived experiences transformed into unforgettable theatre.

For over ten years, acta and the Malcolm X Elders have created original performances celebrating Caribbean heritage and the Bristol community. These aren't professional actors – they're storytellers and community elders who moved from the Caribbean to Bristol in the 1950s and 60s, carrying tales that deserve to be heard.

Over the past two years, Lift Your Feet have been running beautiful parties in York and Leeds. With a focus on all things jazzy and soulful. They’ve had guest slots from Charlie Dark, Coco Maria, Mikey Don, Tina Edwards, Zag Erlat, as well as a host of very talented local DJs. After recent parties, including their annual jazz dance with Leeds Jazz Festival and a collaboration with Friday Feeling and Cosmic Slop, the good word continues to spread about the joyous souls of Lift Your Feet.

Precious Energy have been sharing speakers with the York party over the past year, and have been waiting for the right opportunity to collaborate on a party down south. They’re really excited to have them making the trip to Bristol to spin for them.

Ash have been together for 30 years, but it was their two years apart which ultimately inspired their brilliant new album. So, when they were finally reunited to rehearse for a livestream gig in the dark days of 2021, there were some understandable nerves at how it might go. Even with 30 years of greatness behind them , the best may be yet to come.

The Bristolian born DJ/Producer that has been a pivotal key in the UKs music scene, from supporting The Prodigy to DJing at the iconic raves like Universe and Fantasia, and taking the Trip Hop Bristol sound worldwide with Ninja Tunes, Up Bustle & Out, Cridge has lived and breathed the culture and is a very big fan of Irvine Welsh's work from day one. Presented by bookhaus.

British indie outfit the Rifles rose to popularity in the mid-2000s with a jaunty garage rock & roll sound that has equal parts of Jam-like swagger and a playfulness not unlike contemporaries the Kooks. First grabbing public attention with the 2005 hit "Local Boy," the band found chart success in the latter part of the decade with their first two albums reaching number two on the U.K indie charts and 2009's career highlight Great Escape. Amid subsequent rock-oriented releases like 2014's None the Wiser, the Rifles also embraced the acoustic format, releasing a pair of acoustic EPs and a 2017 unplugged album which they recorded at Abbey Road.

Just ask punk cultural commentators BODEGA, whose new album sees them carve a new future from fuzz-soaked, consumerism-skewering shards of their past. “It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for years,” guitarist and vocalist Ben Hozie explains of Our Brand Could Be Yr Life, a collection of catchy indie-rock ruminations on the slow-creep of corporate-think into youth culture, first written eight years ago. Then known as BODEGA BAY, the Brooklyn group recorded those songs as a paradoxical double album.
