The single proved to be the launching pad for a run that saw 14 hit singles and 6 albums follow on from it. 

From thereon, the band, made up of brothers Mark & Scott Morriss alongside Adam Devlin and Eds Chesters, enjoyed considerable UK and Ireland successes, extending out across into Europe and Japan, before taking a hiatus in 2011 that lasted for 4 years. 
2024 saw the band release the first new Bluetones material in 14 years, culminating in a packed out tour across the UK. In 2025, the promise of new music continues, as the band gear up to release more Bluetones joy into the world, alongside a huge tour, taking in some of the prominent cities and towns in the land.

Having been called “the most exciting band to emerge on the UK Latin Scene in decades..”, Timba Británica was formed in 2024 comprised of best young UK jazz musicians combined with the top Latino musicians in London. In their first year they headlined the Latino stage at Glastonbury, performed a UK tour in collaboration Grammy Award winning vocalist, Mayito Rivera, headlined the UK Havana Salsa Festival and sold out their debut performance at the famous Pizza Express Jazz club in London.

From April 2002, Blasko developed her solo career after fronting Sydney-based band Acquiesce between the mid-1990s and 2001.Her seventh studio album 'I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain' was released on the 1st November 24, a record full of late night reflections on goodbyes, grief, new beginnings and an important friendship that underpinned her childhoo.

]]> No publisher <object object at 0x7faffd6c2580> 2025-02-25T10:15:00Z Event An evening with Belly https://www.trinitybristol.org.uk/whats-on/2025/an-evening-with-belly Celebrating 30 years of the iconic record 'King' Formed in 1991 by Tanya Donelly (formerly of Throwing Muses and theBreeders) with brothers Thomas and Christopher Gorman (formerly of Verbal Assault), Belly became known for a blend of spirited guitar rock, countrified pop and Donelly’s haunting lyrics and voice.

King introduced Belly’s more collaborative song writing model, with several tracks co-written by Donelly, Greenwood, and Tom Gorman. King was recorded live at Nassau Studios in the Bahamas with producer Glyn Johns, and was engineered by Jack Joseph Puig. The album was an exciting fusion of alt-rock, dream-pop, and shimmering folk influences.

1Relation (pronounced One Relation) are one of the freshest dub sound systems coming out of Bristol. The crew will be showcasing an authentic selection of roots, rocksteady, dub and steppas as well as their own studio productions, with Wilfy Rootikal & Jonny Fisha (KFS) at the controls & the beautiful voice of MC Sista Ina singing above the riddims.

They are in the process of curating an exciting line-up of local artists - stay tuned on their instagram for more.

All profits from this event will go to supporting the Bristol Commons as they work towards creating systemic change and building community power in our city.

As the meal is prepared, audience members, performers, and participants come together to co-create an unforgettable experience. Through sound, movement and visual poetry, TASTE transforms ordinary rituals into extraordinary shared moments.

Expect live music played with kitchen utensils, embroidered tablecloths coming to life, delicious food, and a burst of communal joy!

Inspired by weekly creative workshops for migrant women at Borderlands, this event is designed with access at its core, breaking down language barriers and allowing participants to shape the performance in real-time.

About the project

Led by Carlota Matos, a theatre and performance artist working internationally with a focus on social change and participation.

Inspired by Relational Aesthetics, TASTE adopts a participatory format which embraces fluidity, spontaneity, and the joy of collaboration.

This project brings together some of the city’s most exciting creatives, including Ania Varez (Interval), Hiba Elhindi (SudaFest), Roxana Vilk (Vilk Collective), and Sherien Elsheikh (BRAC). Produced by Weronika Dwornik.

TASTE benefits from mentoring and dramaturgy support from Jonny Cotsen (Deaf Access Consultant) and award-winning company Quarantine.

In partnership with Borderlands, Trinity, and Bristol Refugee Festival.
