An essential night of experimental, radical sound as Brussels-based Pssound bring their sound system to Bristol, joining forces with London’s Black Obsidian Sound System and local heavyweights i-sha and k-means.
Rooted in intersectional feminist, anti-racist and anti-colonial practice, the night centres marginalised gender artists and reimagines the dancefloor as a space for collective power, pressure and release.

Produced entirely by Orton, this new material is a raw, evocative exploration of vulnerability, collaboration, and self-discovery. Featuring a "beautifully dazed" and expansive soundscape, Weather Alive is a masterclass in song writing.

]]>The life‑drawing session will be held in the Graffiti Room at the Trinity Centre, framed by its spectacular stained‑glass windows. The fantasy‑warrior model for the evening will be Romany May De’sire.
There will be a prize draw, including two full festival passes for the Forbidden Worlds Film Festival.
All materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own sketchbooks or preferred tools. The first half hour will be warm‑up poses, followed by a series of longer poses. An online option will be available at a reduced ticket price for those unable to attend in person.
Doors from 6pm with event beginning at 7:30pm.

]]>Welcome UWE professor and researcher, Dr Fidel Meraz and Canadian artist, Jonathan Luckhurst, whilst they explore architecture as not only a built space, but as an arena for reimagining more sustainable and inclusive futures.
Jonathan Luckhurst will present Proposals for Reimagined Futures, his current body of work that draws on deep time ecological strategies to suggest how both humans and the Earth might respond to the current environmental crisis. Whilst, Dr Fidel Meraz, will highlight Bristol's local architectural context through his photography and research surrounding the Trinity Art Centre's new location to be housed in the historic Jacob Wells Baths building.

]]>Flamin' Groovies announce a handful of dates this autumn to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their iconic Power Pop song (and album) 'Shake Some Action'. Originally formed in San Francisco by Cyril Jordan and Roy Loney in 1965, Flamin' Groovies released their first three seminal albums 'Supersnazz', 'Flamingo', and 'Teenage Head' before Roy Loney left the group in 1971. Chris Wilson replaced Loney and the band went on release their now classic albums betweern 1976-1979 - 'Shake Some Action', 'Flamin' Groovies Now' and 'Jumpin' In The Night'. In 1976, Flamin' Groovies headlined the Roundhouse in London with support from Ramones and The Stranglers. This legendary concert has been cited as one of the influences behind the punk rock scene.

]]>Join us on 30th May at Trinity for a vibrant day of music, where grassroots talent from Bristol meets exciting artists from Bordeaux. Expect feel-good garden party vibes with a distinctive French twist. A perfect day out for all ages, with delicious food and activities for the whole family. The celebration doesn’t stop there , Echo travels to Bordeaux on 19th September, taking over Le Rocher de Palmer for the second chapter of this unique cultural exchange.

]]>Makaani means 'my place' in Arabic. Or, ‘I belong here’. Makaani Arts are inviting performers and practitioners with shared regional heritage to celebrate their art. Bridging cultures in a day of family-friendly community joy.
Expect dance workshops, live music, film, food and DJs. In collaboration with Chalguh Chengi, Vilk Collective and the Diverse Artists Network. Suitable for all ages.
FEATURING
Chalguh Chengi, meaning the spirit of live music and dance in Turkish, is a collective of artists who celebrate the deep-rooted folk music and dance of Anatolia and the Mediterranean. Showcasing the inherent diversity and fluidity of the region, this group brings live performance and fun, interactive family workshops.
Vilk Collective is a musical collaboration between Roxana Vilk and Peter Vilk, whose work is rooted in migration, memory and collective voice. With heritage spanning Iran, the former Czechoslovakia, and the UK, their music weaves Persian folk, jazz, dub and funk into a unique global sound.
