A joyfully interactive show celebrating the lives, stories, and imaginations of Global Majority trailblazers across time. Blending oral history, live music, and imaginative storytelling, the show invites audiences of all ages to explore hidden histories and dream forward into the dazzling realms of Afrofuturism. A tribute to our past, celebration of our present, and an invitation to let hidden history inspire our future.

Prance is not-for-profit and volunteer-run, and ask for a donation of £5, £7 or £10 (self-determined, based on your means) to help keep the community running.

]]>Join for a fantastic evening of energetic folk music and dancing, with one of Bristol's best ceilidh bands- The Brewery Band.
This month Caper Ceilidh is fundraising for Westbury Wildlife Park Foundation, who run an amazing nature reserve and community space in a wooded valley nestled at the heart of Westbury-on-Trym.
Fancy dress is optional, however there will be a prize for best 'Glow Up' outfit!

Creative Communities is a unique programme that offers weekly arts groups and events for adults affected by drugs and/or alcohol. We are based at Bristol Drugs Project, a charity that has provided harm reduction and treatment services for individuals seeking support with their relationship with drugs and alcohol since 1985. Bristol Drugs Project is part of Horizons – Bristol’s Drug & Alcohol Partnership.

]]>The life‑drawing session will be held in the Graffiti Room at the Trinity Centre, framed by its spectacular stained‑glass windows. The fantasy‑warrior model for the evening will be Romany May De’sire.
There will be a prize draw, including two full festival passes for the Forbidden Worlds Film Festival.
All materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own sketchbooks or preferred tools. The first half hour will be warm‑up poses, followed by a series of longer poses. An online option will be available at a reduced ticket price for those unable to attend in person.

]]>Welcome UWE professor and researcher, Dr Fidel Meraz and Canadian artist, Jonathan Luckhurst, whilst they explore architecture as not only a built space, but as an arena for reimagining more sustainable and inclusive futures.
Jonathan Luckhurst will present Proposals for Reimagined Futures, his current body of work that draws on deep time ecological strategies to suggest how both humans and the Earth might respond to the current environmental crisis. Whilst, Dr Fidel Meraz, will highlight Bristol's local architectural context through his photography and research surrounding the Trinity Art Centre's new location to be housed in the historic Jacob Wells Baths building.

Chalguh Chengi, meaning the spirit of live music and dance in Turkish, is a collective of artists who celebrate the deep-rooted folk music and dance of Anatolia and the Mediterranean. Showcasing the inherent diversity and fluidity of the region, this group brings live performance and fun, interactive family workshops.
Vilk Collective is a musical collaboration between Roxana Vilk and Peter Vilk, whose work is rooted in migration, memory and collective voice. With heritage spanning Iran, the former Czechoslovakia, and the UK, their music weaves Persian folk, jazz, dub and funk into a unique global sound.
